Marriage Location: Near Temple entrance.

Marriage Duration: 5 – 15 mins. Depends on the Marriage applications.

Bride and Groom are Allowed to tie the knot and exchange garlands. Relatives are not allowed on the dias.

Dress code: Please wear
Men: White Pancha, Dhoti/ Kurta, Pyjama.
Female: Saree with blouse/ Half Saree.

Allowed Marriage Timings: 6:00 am – 1:00 pm

Marriage Dates: Date and Muhurtham to be planned by the couple itself.

Guruvayur Temple Marriage Procedure

  1. One must advance booking required for the marriage at this temple
  2. Only the Bride and Groom allowed to the dias.
  3. Bride and Groom’s Aadhaar Cards required for the registration
  4. Darshan is not part of the marriage procedure.
  5. Couples usually arrange reception to the guests outside the temple.
  6. Only private Halls are available for marriage reception outside the temple.
  7. Advance booking required as halls are limited.
  8. Marriage Hall Cost Varies from Rs.15000 – Rs.50000
  9. Flower and Lighting Decoration, Catering Services, Music, Pooja articles will be charged extra.

Marriage Registration Process

  1. Both Bride and Groom Required to submit Passport or Aadhar Cards Photocopy along with School Certificate
  2. 3 Passport Size photos from Bride and Groom
  3. Wedding Invitation Card
  4. Three witnesses with valid Photo ID proof
  5. Two Marriage Photos – Knot Tie pics.
  6. The registration certificate will be issued on the same day at the Guruvayur Municipality.
