These Temples are known for both their spiritual and historical worth. Konark and Khajuraho are so unique in their artistic and architectural beauty that they always have a lot of visitors from inside the country and a lot of tourists from other countries. But Guruvayur is a pilgrimage site that is famous for its glory and greatness. This is mostly due to the gods housed in the temple’s central shrine (Sanctum-Sanctorum) and the idol that is placed there. Mahavishnu is the main god in the Garbhagraha (central shrine). He is worshipped according to the pooja rituals set by Adi Sankaracharya, which were later put into the Tantrasamuchaya by Chennas Narayanan Namboodiri (born 1427). The Chennas Namboodiris are the Tantri who have always lived at Guruvayur temple. Most people, though, pray to the Lord as UNNIKRISHNA or BALAKRISHNA.

• Valid Photo ID proofs are required for the enrollment
• Only Hindu-arranged marriages are allowed here.
• Marriage Date and Time has to be mentioned at the time of enrollment.
• The Bride must be 18 years and above.
• The groom must be 21 years old or older.
• Parents’ presence is required for the marriage.
• The bride, groom, and relatives are allowed onto the stage to perform Thalikettu.
• Love marriages and non-Hindu marriages are not allowed.
• Max. 5–10 members are allowed onto the stage to perform the ritual.

• No Marriage halls are available with Devaswom.
• Marriage hall is located outside Temple and is allotted for 2:00 pm to 2:00 pm
• Pre and Post marriage rituals can be performed outside the temple.
• Only Thalikettu, Photography, Video shooting are allowed on paying extra charges.
• Marriage Hall cost: Rs.15000 to Rs.85000.
• Ac and Non-Ac halls are available close to the temple.

Darshan after Guruvayur Temple marriage

• Darshan is not included in the marriage enrollment.
• Neyyi Deepam tickets cost Rs. 1000 per person and are available for quick darshan
• Senior Citizen Darshan is available at this Devaswom.
• The Bride and Groom usually have Darshan after completing Post-marriage rituals.
