Shani Graha Japam in Srikalahasti is performed daily. The puja lasts for about 3-4 hours. Five to six priests will perform this ritual. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. With six priests, a 19,000 Shani Graha Japa count could take three hours. This puja is performed in a yagashala outside the Srikalahasti temple. It is advisable to perform this puja on Saturdays. Shanitrayodasi is the preferred day for the Shani dosha homam. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. We don’t suggest fasting for the elderly and children. Those who are undergoing Shani dasa should perform this puja.

- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- We respectfully ask all devotees, regardless of age, to avoid wearing T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
