Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Guru Shani Sandhi Shanti in Srikalahasti is performed daily. The puja lasts for about 3 hours. Two priests will perform this ritual. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. Guru Shani Sandhi occurs at the beginning of Shani Maha Dasha and at the end of Guru Maha Dasha. The puja should be performed forty-five days before the end of the Guru Maha Dasha. The initial six months of Shani Dasha and the final six months of Guru Maha Dasha are critical. Guru and Shani mantras are the main emphasis of this Navagraha Purvak Shanti pooja. Jupiter’s houses are Pisces and Sagittarius. Jupiter is responsible for prosperity, wealth, and knowledge. The planet Guru is neutral. Shani Graha is responsible for success, health, and wealth. Jupiter’s adversaries are Budha (Mercury) and Shukra (Venus). Mars, the Moon, and the Sun are buddies. The planet Saturn is neutral. Shani’s foes are the Sun and Moon. Saturn, Venus, and Jupiter are pals. Ketu and Mercury are neutral planets. Consequently, the detrimental effects on planets can be mitigated by performing this Sandhi Shanti puja. For the nakshatras of Punarvasa, Vishakha, and Poorva-Bhadrapada, Jupiter is the lord. Guru Maha Dasha lasts sixteen years, whereas Shani Maha Dasha lasts nineteen.

Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
