After crossing Toll , You can find Siddhi Vinayaka Temple
While on the way to Shrine, you can view the beauty of Seshachalam Hills. There are many stop points on the way and water is available on the side by to fill Radiator.

While on the way back to Tirupati, you can stop at Malwadi Gundam waterflow. Usually water flows heavily during Rainy Season.

1. How long does it take from Chennai to Tirupati by car on a Saturday? I’ve been getting conflicting information from the web and so would be nice to know from someone who has recently travelled. – There are 4 routes from Chennai to Tirupati, shortest and Best Route is via Porur ->Tiruvallur -> Tiruttani -> Nagari ->Puttur ->Chennai . It takes around 3 hours max to reach Tirupati.
2. How long does it take to and from Tirumal & Tirupati? – From Tirupati Bus Stand To Tirumala 45 mins (max)
3. What are the timimgs and requirement for NRI queu? are there any tickets to purchase and if so can it be done in advance? Where can it be done? – For NRIs thru Supadam, it is 12 pm – 5 pm. NRI devotees will be allowed in batched thru Supadam.
4. On average and especially on Saturdays how long would it take in the que before Darshan of the Lord can be done? – Usually Crowd will be high on Weekends, Even if it is thru crowd will be high, During Weekends it is best choice. It would be good idea to go for Arjitha Sevas Like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva so that you will not have much crowd for Seva Tickets.
Today is Saturday, and it is 17 hour for Sarva Darshan ( Free Darshan) and 12 Hours for Divya Darshan ( Pedestrians how reach Tirumala by walk).
Even Thru Supadam it will take 5-6 hours as said earlier, it will batches.

required for that? – Visiting Temples doesn’t need any permit, you can park anywhere, it is free parking at Tirumala. Only Buses is not allowed to Tirumala, other vehicles are allowed. As it is 13 seater, expecting that it is Tempo Traveller.

VIP Break Darshan is not available on Saturday and Sunday so even with letter you can’t have Darshan.

Yes, you can have VIP Break Darshan. It would be nice if you plan VIP Break Darshan for Tuesday and submit Letter on Monday so that you can have Darshan with less crowd.
Usually VVIP’s crowd will be high over the weekends so most the recommendation letters from outside state will not be considered.
Best day for Recommendation letter is Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri.

You have mentioned that how many are performing Pooja. If one is performing pooja and remaining are accompanying then it is Rs.2500 ticket. Couple or Single person can perform Rahu ketu pooja on Rs.2500 ticket and remaining persons can sit next to them.
If each person wants to perform pooja then Rs.300 will do.

I would arrive at Tirupati on Sept 30 eve and would like to Visit Tirumala for Darshan the morning of Oct 1, 2015 and then go to Kalahasti for Rahu-Ketu Puja and return to Tirupati and fly out in the eve from Tirupati . Is this all possible in One day. I do not have any contacts for VIP pass etc so will buy special Darshan tkts at Tirupati.

When comes to accommodation, if you are reaching Tirupati on 30th sep, you can get accommodation easily at Srinivasam Complex ( Opp Tirupati Bus Station ) or at Vishnu Nivasam(walk able from Railway station). As it is mid of the week, rooms will be readily available at TTD cottages.
Plan to stay in Tirupati so that you can travel to Sri Kalahasthi for Pooja and can come back To Tirupati.
Private accommodation is easily available at Tirupati.

Your mother can special entry darshan which is free of cost, I need to check on the process in allowing assistant.
2. Yes, Hair offering to be done before Darshan. Please drive to Rambageecha Guest house, which is near to main temple. It is paid service, which hardly takes 25 mins max.
3. I would suggest to stay in Tirupati, Why because Kalahasthi To Chennai Route, pass thru villages so It is not preferable. Tirupati To chennai Route is best . And best route is Chennai -> Porur -> Tiruvallur -> Tiruttani -> Nagari -> Puttur -> Tirupati. This lane is newly built and is good for travel.
It is good to reach Tirupati directly rather than Chennai.
If you could let me know the number of persons travelling and their ages, then I can let you know the possible options.

It takes 1 hour to reach Tirumala, Please book 15-16 slot. you need to report by 3 pm at SMC 211 , actual darshan queue line starts at 4 pm, by 6 pm you will be done darshan and laddu collection as well.

Dear Sir, I have booked the accommodation on 24th Feb, and darshan for 25th Feb. I have couple of questions.
1. I am coming by car, but do not want to drive to tirumala. Will I get private parking at alipiri for 1 day and is it safe.
2. Due to some sudden requirements in my kids school, the dates above mentioned is looking to be not feasible now. I am not able to reschedule my trip online as it says clearly no cancellation and only after 60 days I can do a rebooking. If I am not getting money back is fine with me, but how to reschedule the trip now.
3. If the 2nd point is not feasible, I would like to come directly. Will it be fine without advance booking coming there and try for accommodation and special darshan tickets. Will I be able to get it easily on arrival.

Yes, TTD free connects Tirupati Railway station, Vishnu Nivasam , Tirupati Bus station, Srinivasam complex -> Alipiri -> Srivari Mettu.
Tirupati Bus station is 0.5 km from Vishnu Nivasam, For Kalahasti, you need to board bus from Tirupati Bus station only.
Tirupati to Tirumala will not be more than 500 I guess, which is one way.

You can drive slowly and you can stop at your convenience. While going up it will not take more than 20 mins. It will be easy drive to up hill.
Down hill will take more time. It will take 35 – 40 mins. You need to slowly as bends are high.

Senior citizens Darshan tickets can be booked online. Kindly note that there is no offline booking counter in Tirumala now. Senior citizen darshan will be at 3 p.m. Yes, your daughter can accompany you during Darshan. Cars can be parked at Rambagicha Guesthouse, and from there, wheelchair facilities can be availed.
