Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Navagraha Shanti Puja in Srikalahasti is performed daily. The puja lasts for about 3-4 hours. Three to four priests will be performing this ritual. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. Even newborn babies can perform this puja. This puja is performed to minimize the negative effects of the Navagrahas. You can perform this puja on any day. Three Brahmins will recite the 1008 mantra chants for each graha. It takes around 3 hours to chant Japa. A single person or a couple can participate in this puja. The puja starts at 7.30 a.m. This puja will be performed in a yagashala outside the Srikalahasti temple. A Brahmin can chant 2500 to 3500 mantras in 3-4 hours. Three priests can complete the Navagraha Japa chanting. After chanting, the Navagraha Shanti puja will be performed.
We offer online puja services for those who are unable to attend. The puja will be livestreamed through the video call. This puja will be performed for your family. We don’t perform group pujas or samuhika pujas. One should take a head bath before the puja. It is advisable to carry an extra set of clothes, as we perform Avabrutham (kalasabhishekam) at the end. We arrange proper seating for the elderly. Even parents can perform this ritual on behalf of their children.
Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- We respectfully ask all devotees, regardless of age, to avoid wearing T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Navagraha Shanti Puja in Srikalahasti
This homam is performed by the experienced pandits. We supply the puja articles required for the ritual. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of the dosha. One should wear traditional dress for this ritual. All your family members can participate in this puja. The Japa Sankhya determines the cost of the puja. We also perform Paripoorna Navagraha Shanti Homam, which might take six days. An astrologer can let you know the auspicious day for this puja. We don’t perform homams on Ekadasi and Dwadasi days. On a Purnima, the puja starts after 10:30 a.m. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. We don’t suggest fasting for the elderly and children.
