Tirupati Alipiri Mettu Timings

Alipiri Mettu remain open for 24 hours. Daily 14,000 tickets were issued to the devotees who takes this path. It usually, takes 3 to 4 hours to reach Tirumala via this path. Total 9.1 Km in length.
Slotted Divya Darshan tokens were issued along the path. The devotee must report at VQC II on the specified time.
Dress Code: Any decent outfit.
Darshan Duration: It takes, 3 to 12 hours, which depends on the crowd. The crowd will be high during weekends, special days and festival days. At times, Divya Darshan tokens will be stopped due to heavy crowd. Usually, this scenario occurs during Puratasi Month, Brahmotsavam days, Vaikunta Ekadasi, Vaikunta Dwadasi, Rathasapthami etc.
While the devotees are waiting in the queue line for Darshan, Food and water will be supplied by the TTD.
It is advisable to take Alipiri Mettu or Srivari Mettu path with barefoot. As many great saints took this path and these steps are holy.
Divya Darshan is a free ticket, which will be issued at Alipiri Mettu and Srivari Mettu paths in Tirupati and Srinivasa Mangapuram. The devotee can leave the luggage at the footpath entrance and can collect at GNC Tollgate after reaching Tirumala.
In the case of rooms non-availability, the devotees can take rest and get fresh up at Pilgrims Amenities centers available in Tirumala. Luggage can be deposited at Free Lockers available in all PAC’s.
Tonsuring facility is available in all the PACs for the devotees convenience. The devotee can have Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasada Center located near to the main temple.
Children under 12 years doesn’t need a ticket as they are allowed only with their parents or relatives.
The devotees can use free Bus 9(Orange Colored Bus) facility available in Tirumala. These buses connects all cottages and offices in Tirumala. Bus is available every 3 to 5 mins.
Those who are looking for Rooms can stand in Q Line at CRO office for room allotment. CRO office Timings: 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Tirupati Alipiri Mettu Timings During COVID
Divya Darshan tokens were stopped as to restrict crowd. Alipiri Mettu timings 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Srivari Mettu was closed all this time.
The devotees are allowed to go via Alipiri Mettu path if they had pre-booked darshan ticket.
Now, Alipiri Mettu is under renovation and there is a change in the Alipiri Mettu Timings ie 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. And the path is not good for trekking now. It might take some more time for the fully developed steps path.
Those who are planning for Tirupati Darshan, can reach Tirumala either by Bus or Own vehicle.
