Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Pitru Shanti Pooja in Srisailam is performed daily. The puja lasts for about 3 hours. Two to three priests will perform this ritual. An elder from the family should perform this ritual. One should discard the clothes worn during the ritual. A son cannot perform this ritual if his father is alive. In such a scenario, a Brahman will perform this ritual on your behalf. It is advisable to perform this ritual on Amavasya, Pitru Paksha days, and Mahalaya Amavasya. While coming for this ritual, please bring one kg of cow ghee. Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- Regardless of age, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from dressing in jeans and T-shirts.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
