Kadiri Temple Marriage Booking Procedure

1. The Bride should be 18 years and above
2. The Groom should be 21 years and above.
3. The Bride and Groom’s family should be Hindus
4. Marriage is allowed during the temple opening Hours.
5. Only Hindu arranged marriages are allowed in the temple premises.
6. Only First marriages are allowed at Kadiri Narasimha Swamy Temple.
7. Marriage enrollment fees includes permission charges only.
8. Purohit, Pooja Samagri and Bhaja Bajantrilu will be charged extra.
9. Mandapam decoration (Flower decoration) is not allowed in the temple premises.
10. A minimum of one week of booking is required for the marriage booking.
11. Marriage halls are located near the temple.
12. No marriage halls are available on the temple premises
13. Simple marriages can be performed in the temple premises.
14. Love marriages and inter-religious marriages are not allowed at Kadiri Temple.
15. A receipt will be issued by the temple admin which can be used for the marriage registration.
16. Simple marriages are allowed in the temple premises during temple opening hours.

Hair offering and Ear boring will be done at Kalyanakatta.

Kalyanakatta Timings: 6 am – 8:30 pm

Namakaranam (Naming ceremony) and Annaprasana Timings: 6:00 am – 1:30 pm (Remaining days) or 3 pm (Sat/Sun).

Naming ceremony and Annaprasana starts right after Abhishekam.

Devotees can perform these events on all days in a year.

Shasti Poorthi and Marriages will not be performed by the temple but devotees can perform these events on their own.

In the Kadiri temple, the self-incarnated Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is also called Swayambhu, which emerged from the Khadri tree’s roots. Here, he appears to be Ashta Bahu Narasimha, who has eight hands, ripping Hiranyakasipu. Prahlada may be seen standing next to him, her hands folded.

According to the local tradition, the presiding deity, Narasimhaswami, in His magnificent appearance, “Vugrarupa,” decided to reside here after slaying Hiranyakasipu. This hallowed temple has legendary significance that stretches back to Trethayuga.

Sri Narasimha Swamy appears as a person with a lion’s head, dressed in silver armor adorned with silver eyes, moustaches, and shoulder blades, and positioned to carry Hiranyakasipu’s stomach. The metal figure of Vishnu, flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi, represents the deity on procession. The Paschima Chalakya Dynasty’s rulers actually put Durgadevi behind a magnificent mandapam made of curved stone pillars, and in 1953, Lakshmi Devi Vigraham was also housed in the temple. According to the directives of Lord Narasimha Swamy Varu, the Lord Idol was housed, and the Vijaya Nagara Rulers built mandapams that were excellently curved on stones to the southern side of Ammavari Temple.
