Palabhishekam is a prayer that involves bathing the Lord with milk and Camphor while chanting mantras. The devotees are allowed to sit in the Garbha Gruha on either side. Please note that it is going to Panchamrutha Abhishekam which will be performed during Rudrabhishekam Pooja. All required Pooja materials will be provided by the Devasthanam itself. Carrying Pooja materials for the Pooja will not be considered.

Srikalahasti Temple Dress Code for Palabhishekam
Men: Dhoti, Pancha. Men must remove Shirt and Vest during this Seva. Upper cloth is allowed during the Pooja.
Ladies: Saree/ Half Saree is allowed during this Seva.

should he himself participate in pooja or father or mother can do it

Here is the pooja procedure
1) After having head bath, perform Abhishekam with Milk to the Idols at Rudra Padam ( which is 100 ft from Pathala Ganapathi Temple) and do 3 Pradakshinam to the Idols after abhishekam. http://gotirupati.com/rudra-padam-sri-kalahasti-temple/
3) After Abhishekam, please purchase Rahu Ketu Pooja.Tickets which will be issued at the counter.
4) After pooja, please offer 2 -3 meal packets to the poor.
5) Note that one should fast till they complete Rahu Ketu Pooja. One can have liquid foods.6) After Rahu Ketu Pooja you can have food and then plan to perform Rudrabhishekam http://gotirupati.com/sri-kalahasti-temple-rudrabhishekam/
7) Now you are good to start Home.
