Marriage Hall Booking procedures in Tirumala and Tirupati for Simple and Grand Weddings. In Tirumala, the marriage hall will be allotted for 24 hours, following standard allotment timings, i.e., 3 p.m. to 3 p.m. (next day). In Tirumala, weddings can be performed in two ways: open-space and closed-space weddings. The marriage hall booking opens 90 days in advance for open space weddings. In contrast, a closed-space marriage hall booking is open for the next 6 months.

Wedding halls are available in different sizes. Only one marriage is allowed in a function hall. Wedding hall capacity varies from 50 to 500 members. Wedding halls in Tirumala are non-AC, but AC rooms are available at Kalyana Mandapam. Rooms for the stay are located right at the wedding hall. The wedding party can book the required number of rooms at the time of hall booking. Those who are planning a temple view in the backdrop can get married on the rooftop. In Tirumala, the weather will be too cold from October to February. Those who are planning for rooftop weddings should plan accordingly. The early hours will see a significant decline in temperature in Tirumala.

Marriage Hall Booking Procedure in Tirumala

  • The bride should be 18 years and above.
  • The groom should be 21 years and above.
  • The bride and groom should be Hindus.
  • Parental acceptance is mandatory for the wedding at Tirumala.
  • Only Hindu-arranged marriages are allowed in Tirumala.
  • Love marriages will not be performed even if they are accepted by one side of the family.
  • Love marriages will not be performed anywhere in Tirumala.
  • Inter-caste arranged marriages are allowed.
  • Interreligious marriages, such as Hindu-Christian, Hindu-Muslim, etc., will not be performed.
  • Marriage should be performed following Hindu rituals.
  • Even foreigners can get married in Tirumala if they are Hindus.
  • Parents’ presence is mandatory for the wedding.
  • In the case of parents’ absence, guardians can perform the wedding after submitting valid documents.
  • Devasthanam and the Mutt will have the right to cancel the marriage hall allotment if there is a discrepancy.
  • One should not play DJ music or loud music at the wedding hall.
  • Any kind of procession is not allowed in Tirumala during a wedding.
  • Photoshoots outside the wedding hall are not allowed.
  • Drone cameras are not allowed in Tirumala.

Documents for Marriage Hall Booking

  1. The bride’s and groom’s Aadhar card or passport photocopies.
  2. The bride’s parents’ and groom’s parents’ Aadhar card or passport photocopies.
  3. The bride’s and groom’s age proof documents, such as birth certificates, 10th mark sheets, or school transfer certificate photocopies.
  4. All document photocopies have to be submitted while booking the hall.
  5. Unmarried certificates are required for the Devasthanam wedding halls.
  6. Unmarried certificates should be sealed and signed by the Thasildar or MRO.
  7. For closed-hall weddings, unmarried certificates are not required.

Marriage Certificate in Tirumala

  1. The marriage registration office is located at Kalyana Vedika in Tirumala.
  2. The marriage certificate will be issued on the same day.
  3. The marriage registration office works on all days except Tuesdays.
  4. The newlywed couple’s Aadhar card or passport photocopies are required.
  5. The newlywed couple’s PAN card, 10th mark sheet, or birth certificate photocopies are required.
  6. Three witnesses, along with their Aadhar card photocopies, are required for the registration.
