Aksharabhyasam Ticket cost: Rs.100 and Rs.1000

No.of persons allowed: Two persons (Father, Mother) and Child

Aksharabhyasam Age: 2 years 6 months and above. There is no age restriction for Aksharabhyasam.

Pooja Duration: 15 to 20 mins.

Preferable Dress code: Please wear
Male: White Pancha, Dhoti/ Kurta, Pyjama.
Female: Saree with blouse/ Punjabi Dress with Dupatta / Chudidhar with Dupatta/ Half Saree

For Child: Any decent outfit is allowed.

Aksharabhyasam Pooja articles: Slate, Slate Pencil, flowers, Garlands, 1 Kg Rice, Coconut, Turmeric, Kumkum. All required Pooja materials are readily available outside the temple.

Ticket counter Timings: 5:00 am to 6:00 pm

No.of Tickets issued: Unlimited. Tickets can be purchased over the counter for the same day Pooja.

Basara Vasantha Panchami 2022 Date, Procedure and Timings

Aksharabhyasam will be performed for the group of devotees.
The priest will be chanting the Mantras and guide the devotees on the Aksharabhyasam process.
Whether it is Rs.100 or Rs.1000 ticket, the Pooja is performed for the group.
Only difference is with the Group size and Mantap location.
The priest starts the Pooja with Ganapathi Pooja and writes the letters on the Slate.
It is the Father now to hold the child’s hand and rewrites the letters on the slate pencil for thrice.
The devotees can have Darshan after Aksharabhyasam.
Even, child at 10 years can perform Aksharabhyasam as there is no age limit for this Pooja.

Good Time for Aksharabhyasam: 7.45 am to 8.15 am and 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

As per the Puranas, Vasantha Panchami or Sri Panchami is the birth date of Goddess Saraswathi. It is believed that performing Aksharabhyasam on this special day will bless the child with Good knowledge.
