On an Ashlesha star day, this puja starts at 8 a.m. Two to three priests perform this ritual. Puja Dress Code

  • Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
  • Ladies: saree.
  • Regardless of age, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from dressing in jeans and T-shirts.

Instructions to be followed

  • Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
  • One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
  • Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.

Ashlesha Bali Pooja Procedure in Kashi

Ashlesha Bali Pooja is performed by experienced Vedic pandits. A boy or a girl can perform this puja. One should take a head bath before and after the puja. You can visit the temple only after taking a head bath. One should discard the clothes worn during the ritual. In Kashi, we speak Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English.
