Tripindi Shradh in Kashi: Cost, Timing, and Booking

Tripindi Shradh in Kashi is performed daily. This puja is performed to pacify departed souls. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. An elder from the family should perform this puja. A Brahman can perform this puja on your behalf if required. The puja duration is 1-2 hours. Typically, two to three priests will be performing this ritual. Anyone can perform this ritual regardless of their age. This puja is performed on the banks of the River Ganga. The puja starts sometime between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tripindi Shradh should be performed immediately if one suffers from Pitru Shaap.

For people who perform rituals at the wrong time, this puja is recommended. If a family has not carried out rituals for three consecutive years, Tripindi Shradh is advised. In such a scenario, Pitrus in the Pitru Loka will curse the existing family members. This puja can be performed if there is an unnatural death. In this case, the deceased soul may make noises in dreams and show up in the mirror as an image.

Puja Dress Code

Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
Ladies: saree.

Instructions to be followed

Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after the 11th day.
One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.

Tripindi Shradh Procedure in Kashi

This puja is performed on the banks of the River Ganga. One should perform this puja with utmost devotion and sincerity. The Hindu calendar’s significant months, such as the 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 2nd, can be used for this ritual. The lunar day, or Sunday, falls on the 5th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 14th, and 30th in the dark half of the lunar month.
