Tripindi Shradh in Gokarna is performed daily. This puja is performed outside the main temple. The puja lasts for 1-2 hours. Typically, two to three priests will be performing this ritual. This puja is advisable for those who don’t perform rituals. If you have not performed rituals for three consecutive years, then this puja should be performed immediately. Pitru, residing in the Pitru Loka, will curse the existing family members. Tripindi Shradh, along with Thila Homa and Pinda Pradhan, should be performed. An elder from the family should perform this puja. You can perform this puja on any day in Gokarna. The Gokarna Mahabaleshwar temple is known for dosha nivarana.
We offer online puja services for those who are unable to attend. The puja will be livestreamed through the video call. The puja starts at 6 a.m. on an Amavasya day. During Pitru Paksha, the puja starts at 4.30 a.m. On a Mahalaya Amavasya day, the puja starts at 3 a.m. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. One should perform this puja with utmost devotion and sincerity. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. One should discard the dress worn during the puja.

- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Tripindi Shradh Procedure in Gokarna
Tripindi Shradh will be performed along with Moksha Narayan Bali, Thila Homa, and Pinda Pradhan. The puja duration is 3 hours. This particular puja is done for your family. We don’t perform group pujas or Samuhika pujas. This puja will be performed in your native language. We speak Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and English. Those who intend to perform this puja should bring two coconuts, one liter of gingelly oil, and one kilogram of cow ghee. The ritual is performed in a yagashala outside the main temple.
