Navachandi Homam in Gokarna is performed daily. It is advisable to perform this puja on a Purnima day, yielding the best results. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. This puja is performed for your family members. We don’t perform group pujas or samuhika pujas. The puja duration depends on the times of Durga Saptashati parayana. “Navachandi” means nine forms of Chandi will be invoked during this ritual. Auspicious days for this puja are the Navaratri festival days, Durga Pooja, Dussehra, or the Moola Nakshatra day. Goddess Chandi is the ferocious form of the goddess Parvati.

  • If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.

  • Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
