Matru Dosha Nivarana in Gokarna is performed daily. The puja lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. This dosha occurs due to the ill treatment of your mother. Additionally, the dosha may be inherited from a prior birth. Neglecting one’s mother might cause this dosha. This dosha might cause financial difficulties, business loss, psychological issues, differences between family members, and much more. Two to three priests will perform this ritual. The puja starts at 8.30 a.m. on normal days. On an Amavasya day, the puja starts at 6 a.m. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their dosha.
We offer online puja services for those who are unable to attend. The puja will be livestreamed through the video call. A Brahman can perform this ritual on your behalf if required. We speak Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, and English. The puja will be performed in your native language. The mantras will be recited in Sanskrit. It is advisable to fast while performing this ritual. We don’t suggest fasting for the elderly and patients. On Amavasya days, Pitru Paksha days, and Mahalaya Amavasya days, this ritual should be carried out.
Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- We respectfully ask all devotees, regardless of age, to avoid wearing T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Matru Dosha Nivarana Procedure in Gokarna
At Gokarna, we also perform Pitru Dosha Nivarana, Bhratru Dosha Nivarana, and dosha nivarana pujas daily. The yagashala is located outside the temple. We supply the puja articles required for this ritual. One should reach Gokarna a day before so that we can perform the puja in the morning hours. A single woman can perform the ritual. At the end, a Brahman will perform the last puja activities. An elder from the family should perform this puja. One should take a head bath before and after the puja. The dress worn during the ritual should be discarded after the puja. Tirtha Snana or Samudra Snana should be performed after the ritual.
