Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Swayamvara Parvati Homam in Rameswaram is performed daily. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. - Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.

In Rameswaram, this puja is performed in a yagashala outside the Rameswaram temple. This puja is performed individually. We don’t perform group pujas or samuhika pujas. We advise the girl to wear a traditional dress for this puja. It is advisable to carry an extra set of clothes for this ritual. All your family members can participate in this puja. Even a single woman can perform this puja. The word “Swayamvara” means marrying a person of your choice. This puja was first performed by the goddess Parvati for Lord Shiva. Even a divorced woman can perform this puja. A widower can conduct this puja. An unmarried woman at any age can perform this ritual. Even a married woman can perform this puja, as it strengthens the bonding between the couple.
