Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Navagraha Homam in Rameswaram is performed daily. The puja duration depends on the Japa Sankhya. For a complete Navagraha Homam, it may take 5-6 days. Typically, six to seven priests will perform this ritual. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. This puja is performed outside the temple in a yagashala. In the southwest corner of the temple street, you will find the yagashala. The puja will be performed in your native language. We speak Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English. For the first five days, mantras will be recited, and on the last day, homam will be performed. A single person or a couple can perform this puja.
A simple Navagraha Shanti homam may take 4-5 hours. A 1008-mantra recitation will be performed for each Graha, followed by a homam. We offer online puja services for those who are unable to attend. The puja will be livestreamed through the video call. This puja minimizes the negative effects of the Navagrahas. Even parents can perform this puja on behalf of their children. Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Navagraha Homam Procedure in Rameswaram
A complete Navagraha Shanti Homam may take days to finish. A Brahmin can recite a mantra 3,000 times in a day. The mantra will be chanted for a maximum of three to four hours. We perform individual Graha pujas. One should recite the mantra, followed by the homam, for the Graha Shanti. Even newborn babies can perform this puja. The puja cost depends on the Japa Sankhya and the number of priests required. We provide all the required puja articles. You don’t have anything for this puja.

We perform Mrityunjaya Homam, Ayush Homam, and many more in Rameswaram. The puja starts around 7 a.m. One should take a head bath before the puja. It is advisable to carry an extra set of clothes, as Avabrutha might be performed in the end.
