Shiva Kanchi Temple History, Timings, Darshan, and Puja details
There are undoubtedly more temples in Kanchipuram than anywhere else in India, making it known as the “city of temples.” This includes the few Jain temples in Chimna Kanchi as well as all the Shiva and Vishnu temples. Sivapuram, which translates to “the abode of Siva,” is one of the many other names for Kanchipuram. The origin of this term must be linked to the occurrence of 108 Siva Lingas in this town, in addition to the well-known Siva temples honoring Ekambaresvara, Kailasanatha, Kachanesvara, and other deities. This also applies to the Shiva temple in the Vishnu Kanchi region.
