Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Shatha Rudra Homam in Gokarna is performed daily. The puja duration is 3 hours. Twenty-two priests will perform this ritual. Anyone can perform this ritual regardless of their age. During this ritual, 121 Avartanas will be recited. A Rudra avartana consists of reciting 169 mantras. It is advisable to perform this puja on Arudra Nakshatra day. Even newborn babies can participate in this puja. This puja is performed in a yagashala located outside the Gokarna Mahableshwar Temple. The puja starts at 8.30 a.m. One should take a head bath before the puja.

Auspicious days are Arudra star day, Maha Shivaratri day, and Mondays. This puja can also be performed with eleven priests. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. Puja Dress Code

Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
