Pooja services in Gokarna: Cost, Timings, and Booking

All types of Dosha nivarana pooja services are available in Gokarna. Gokarna Mahabaleshwar Kshetra is also called Dakshina Kashi. It is believed that performing Dosha nivarana at this place will yield the best results. At Gokarna, Pitru Dosha, Moksha Narayana Bali, Ashlesha Bali, Kala Sarpa Dosha, and Kuja Dosha Nivarna pujas are performed daily. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. At Gokarna, we speak Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and English. We perform puja in your native language. Typically, three to seven priests will be performing the rituals. The puja duration will be 2 to 4 hours, depending on the puja type. For Pitru Dosha and Moksha Narayana Bali Pooja, we advise you to perform it on an Amavasya day. It is best to perform Ashlesha Bali Pooja on the day of Ashlesha Nakshatra.

We offer online puja services for those unable to attend. Kindly note that the darshan is not part of any puja package. These pujas are performed in a Yagashala outside the main temple. At Gokarna, we also perform Maha Mrityunjaya Homam, Pasupatha Homams, and Sudarshana Homam. Nagapratishta is performed as well. We assign a Brahmin who does the puja on your behalf for online pujas. A single woman can perform sankalpam and pitru-related puja rituals. At the end, a Brahmin performs the final rituals.

Puja Dress Code

  • Gents: dhoti (white) and shirt or kurta and pajama.
  • Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
  • Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.

Instructions to be followed

  • Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
  • If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
  • One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
  • Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.

Dosha Nivarana Pooja services in Gokarna

Sarpa Dosha Nivarana poojas for one day and two days are available. We offer Sarpa Samskara in addition to Naga Pratishta. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. One should take a head bath before and after the Dosha Nivarana Poojas. Kumbha, or Kadali Vivaha, is performed daily at Gokarna. We perform individual poojas. We don’t perform groups or Samuhika poojas. An astrologer can let you know the auspicious day for the puja. For Kumbha/Kadali vivaha, it is advisable to perform it on a Saturday or Sunday. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. One should perform this puja with utmost devotion and sincerity. The rush will be high during festival days, Amavasya day, Pitru Paksha, weekends, and Mahalaya Amavasya.

Pooja Timings in Gokarna

  • 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on normal days.
  • 6:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. on an Amavasya day.
  • 5:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. during Pitru Paksha.
  • 4:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. on a Mahalaya Amavasya day.

We will let you know the pooja timings for the following in the evening hours. The next day, you should reach the counter 30 minutes in advance, where you will be issued a token.
