Madurai Temple Marriage Halls, Booking, and Instructions. Marriage halls are located outside the main temple. Only Hindu-arranged marriages can be performed at the temple. Parents’ presence is mandatory for getting married at this temple. Any Hindu can get married at Madurai. Simple and grand weddings can be performed at Madurai. Even foreigners can get married in Madurai, as there are no such restrictions. Whereas, only Hindu-arranged marriages can be performed in the temple premises, and that too in small numbers.
Hall allotment for 24 hours.
Marriage Hall Location: 5 km from the temple.
Hall Rent: Starts from 15,000 (This price may not be exact)
Madurai Temple Marriage Hall Booking
- Booking for the marriage hall is required.
- The hall will be allotted for 24 hours.
- The marriage hall, along with electricity and water, will be provided.
- Only Hindu arranged marriages will be performed.
- The bride must be 18 years and above.
- The groom must be 21 years and above.
- Parents must be present for the marriage. Relatives can assist in case of parents’ absence.
Required Documents from Bride and Groom
- An Aadhaar Card is required to verify age and provide proof of address.
- Village Administrative Officers document
- The bride’s and groom’s parents must carry Aadhaar Cards as well.
- A school certificate, if required.
Madurai Marriage Hall Arrangements with Extra Charges
- Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Breakfast
- Hall Lighting Decoration
- Seating Arrangement.
- Garlands, Puja Materials.
- Nadaswaram
- Priests—2 Nos, etc.
The above-mentioned marriage items list will be provided at an extra cost.
Marriage Registration
- The registration certificate will not be issued by the hall manager.
- Only marriage receipts will be provided, and registration can be performed in their hometown.
- You must submit the Marriage Invitation Card, marriage photos, and photocopies of the Aadhaar Card for registration.
Please note that there are no marriage halls on the temple premises.
