Kadali Vivaham in Rameswaram is performed every day. The puja duration is 2 hours. Typically, two to three priests will be performing this ritual. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. A manglik boy performs this puja before marriage. As per astrology, a manglik boy shouldn’t marry a non-manglik girl. In such a scenario, the couple might be separated. Occasionally, the manglik dosha affects the spouse’s health. Kadali Vivaham, or Valamarai Kalyanam, is performed daily in a Yagashala outside the temple.
A manglik boy should bring a saree and a blouse piece for the puja. For this ceremony, the groom should wear a panche or dhoti with an upper garment. In accordance with custom, the manglik boy will wed a banana tree. The banana tree will be chopped down to eliminate the dosha following the marriage. The groom should discard the dress worn during the puja. Kadali Vivaham or Valamarai Kalyanam will remove the dosha related to the second marriage and separation.
