Annavaram Upanayanam Procedure, Cost, Timings and Booking details
The words Upa and Nayanam form the word Upanayanam, which means “vision through understanding.” It means the second view, which is called understanding and intelligence. It is also said that Dwijan, the boy for whom the ceremony takes place, will have a second birth. The first birth will be physical, and the second will be taking one closer to wisdom through this ritual.
There are two main parts to it. First, the Yagnopaveetha Dharanam, a three-stranded thread, is put in place. A person is taken to the Brahmman by reciting the Gayathri Mantra into his right ear. This is the second part. His father, whom he refers to as Guru, typically performs this.
