Amber Fort Jaipur Timings, Entry fees, Route info, Light and Sound Show

This palace construction started in 1589 AD which got completed in 1727 AD i.e took 137 years to build the palace. This fort was built by Raja Man Singh I and the architecture reflect the mix of Hindu and Mughal structures. Raja Man Singh I followed by Mirza Singh Jai Singh and Sawai Jai Singh majorly contributed in building this palace. The fort wall runs for 11 Km which covers the Palace.

Interesting Places at Amber Fort Jaipur

Diwaan-e-Aam and Diwaan-e-Khaas

Diwan-e-Aam which means ‘Hall of Public Audience’. It is said that the king used to listen to the public grievances at this place.

Sukh Niwaas (Sukh Mandir)

Sukh Niwaas means Residence of Pleasure where King used to spend time with their Queens and sometimes with their mistresses. There is an artificial channel which carries cool water inside to lower the room temperature.

Sheesh Mahal

The Sheesh Mahal was built with mirrors inside and is the beautiful structure of all. The Walls and ceiling were carved and designed with beautiful paintings and flowers which were made with pure glass.
