Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.

Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Laksha Vottula Nomu Procedure in Varanasi
You have to light the Laksha Vottula. After the puja, you have to stay awake and listen to the Laksha Vottula Nomu Katha. This puja is performed outside the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. You can consume a liquid diet. We supply the puja articles for this ritual. One should take a head bath before the puja. An astrologer can let you know the auspicious day for this ritual. A single person or a couple can perform this ritual. We don’t advise fasting for the elderly and patients.
