Pitru Dosha Nivarana pooja is performed daily, and online booking is available. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. A woman can perform sankalpam and other puja rituals. A son can perform this puja even if his father is alive. In such a scenario, a Brahman will do the final rituals. Pitru Dosha occurs when rituals are not performed properly. Because of their negative karma, your ancestors may have passed on this dosha to you. The purpose of Pitru Dosha Nivarana Pooja is to placate the spirits of the deceased ancestors. Pitru Loka ancestors will bestow good fortune upon their clan.

On any day of the year, you can perform this Pitru Shanti Pooja. Pitru Shaap and Stree Shaap will be removed during this Dosha Nivarana Pooja. The puja duration depends on the Japa Sankhya. Typically, five to seven Brahmins will be performing this puja. For best results, we advise performing at least 1008 Japa Sankhya. The puja takes three to four hours to complete. Typically, five to seven Brahmins will be performing this ritual. It is advisable to perform this puja on an Amavasya day for the best results. Performing Pitru Dosha Nivarana Pooja doesn’t mean that it is completely removed. One should perform timely rituals after this puja to prevent Pitru Dosha again.

Puja Dress Code

  • Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
  • Ladies: saree.
  • Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.

Instructions to be followed

  • Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
  • If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
  • One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
  • Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
