Narayan Nagbali Puja in Gokarna is performed in a Yagashala outside the temple. This puja can be performed in a day or two. Moksha Narayana Bali Pooja is performed to guide unsatisfied souls either to attain Moksha or to join the rebirth cycle. Nagbali puja is performed to remove Sarpa Dosha. The puja duration is 5 to 6 hours. An elder from the family should perform Narayana Bali Pooja. On the other hand, anyone, regardless of age, can perform Nagbali puja. Moksha Narayana Bali Pooja is performed if there is any unnatural death in the family. Thila homam is performed to appease the ancestors’ souls. One should perform this puja with utmost devotion and sincerity. One should take a head bath before and after the puja. After the puja, discard the clothes you wore during it. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. The Moksha Narayana Bali Pooja is performed on the Gothra, which means anyone from the family can perform it. In contrast, Nagbali Puja is performed specifically for an individual.
On the first day, Moksha Naryana Bali, Thila Homam, Tripindi Shraddh, and Pinda Daan will be performed. On the second day, Nagbali Puja is performed. The puja duration on the first day will be 3 hours and 30 minutes to 4 hours. The duration of the puja on the second day will be 2 hours. Both the Narayan and Nagbali pujas can be combined, and they can be performed on the same day.
Puja Dress Code
- For gentlemen, the dress code includes a white dhoti and either a shirt or a kurta paired with pajamas.
- Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Puja Instructions To Devotees
- One should refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food for three days before the puja.
- A woman can perform this puja after the fifth day of her menstrual cycle.
- If there is a death in the family, you can perform this puja after six months.
- A Brahman can perform this puja on your behalf.
