Tirupati Darshan Timings for Senior Citizens, Ticket Cost, and Booking Procedure.

Senior Citizen Darshan Dress Code

Gents: dhoti (white) and shirt, or kurta and pyjama.
Ladies: Saree or Salwar Kameez (with Pallu Compulsory).
All pilgrims are requested not to wear clothes such as T-shirts, jeans, etc., as the same is strictly prohibited, irrespective of any age group

Tirupati Darshan Timings for Senior Citizens

  • Darshan reporting time: 1 p.m.
  • Senior Citizen Darshan time: 3 p.m to 4.30 p.m
  • Darshan duration: 1 hour to 1 hour, 30 minutes
  • Darshan reporting place: South Mada Street, near the bridge.
  • Daily quota: 750 tickets
  • It is free for Darshan, the senior citizen, and his spouse.
  • Senior Citizen Darshan is applicable for 65 years and older.
  • One must carry valid photo ID proof as a senior citizen, and his spouse is required.
  • Senior citizens, freedom fighters, physically challenged patients, and cancer patients can avail of this privileged Darshan.
  • Senior citizens’ darshan remains the same every day unless there is a festival in Tirumala, such as Annual Brahmotsavam days, Vaikunta Dwara Darshan days, or Radhasapthami.
  • There is a limitation concerning Darshan. One is 3 months. Which means you can avail yourself four times a year.
  • Only senior citizens are allowed through this new entrance; no other relatives will be considered for Darshan.
  • Aadhar Card details for Indians and passport details for NRIs are required for online booking.
  • Kindly note that offline booking is not available for senior citizens. Only online bookings will be allowed for Darshan.
  • All other darshans will be stopped during this time, and it is a hassle-free darshan.
  • No pushing and no steps for this Darshan.
  • Srivari Sevaks will be assisting devotees who need assistance.
  • The devotee is allowed to have Darshan from Jaya Vijaya Statue, which is similar to Rs. 300, Sarva Darshan, and Divya Darshan.

Important Instructions to Senior Citizens

  1. Pilgrim must show the original photo ID that was used to make the booking at the time of entry.
  2. Every pilgrim must always report at the time specified and must not bring any electronic gadgets or bags with them.
  3. The Pilgrims are only allowed to dress traditionally. Man: Pyjamas, Kurtha, Dhoti, Shirt. Female: dupatta-paired saree, half-saree, or chudidar.
  4. This service is available for a limited period; pilgrims must use Sarva Darshan alone if they are unable to report on time for Darshan.
  5. After receiving Darshan, each pilgrim will receive one free laddu. They should collect Laddu Prasadam within 24 hours of reporting for Darshan.
  6. All reservations are final; no changes or cancellations are permitted.
  7. Under special circumstances, TTD retains the right to cancel Darshan.
  8. Should a discrepancy be noticed, the TTD administration has the authority to cancel the booked tickets.

      Dear Sir,

      As you both are Senior Citizens, Special Entry Darshan thru Supadam is allowed. Please carry ID proof for Age and also note that Senior citizens are allowed in two slots one at 10 am for which reporting time is 8 am and second slot is at 3 pm for which reporting time is 1 pm.

        Thanks for your prompt reply.We plan to visit Tirupathi without booking accommodation and darshan ticket and spend two days.We plan to stay in Tirupathi in any accommodation spending Rs 1000 per day and availing the senior citizen darshan facility

    1. Our family is planning to visit Tirupathi this weekend,as it is a sudden trip we didn’t book Accommodation special darshan tickets Rs.300/- which should be done two weeks before.Is it ok if i book the ticktes today for this sunday i:e., on 30-08-2015.

    2.My Grand Mother is a Senoir citizen she can’t go alone.Can my mother accompany her?

      1) It is still ok to book tickets today if available.
      2) Yes, you can accompany your Grand mother, if you provide medical certificate stating assistance required for the aged person. Usually, they will allow one lady for the assistance, give a try if they accepts then it is good.
      3) It will be time taking to find accommodation in Tirumala on Sunday. If you are interested to stay, then look for private accommodation in Tirupati.

      Crowd is high in Tirumala now due to Brahmotsavam. Only your father will be allowed thru Supadam. Rest all should go for Sarva Darshan. Supadam Darshan line starting from SMC 211 .
      Infant, mother and father are allowed thru supadam by providing Birth Certificate.

Will I have to also provide a medical certificate? If so should it be from the doctor who is treating her or a Government doctor only?

      For senior citizen darshan there is no online booking directly you can enter into the darshan through the Nambi entrance near west mada street for 3 pm darshan you need to be report at 1pm.

      there is infant dharshan you should report at supadam gate in tirumala between 8am to 10:30am and 12pm to 5pm along with the birth or medical certificate of the infant(below 1year).

        I am retired HRD Mgr. After attaining 60 yrs. during 2012 retired. I intend to visit for dfarsan to Lord under Sr.citizen scheme but my wife is 60, sr.citizen can she will be allowed with me or not. I am 65 and she is 60 both are sr.citizens.

    My this question is in the interest of public at large that 1) For Senior citizen Darshan both male and female, age criteria is of 65 years.
    2) A retired sr. Citizen husband of 65, comes for Darshan at Tirumala with his spouse aging 60, from far away or say from nearby province.
    3) But rules of Deosthanam will not permit her to enter in a que of Sr citizens.
    4) BUT, now my LAND MARK question is – generally a wife remains younger to her husband by 5/7 years and some times more too. For instance consider my above cited example, in this case where the husband should leave his wife who came only for Darshana from far away ?
    My suggestion :- It is my requests to TTD to please review the age criteria 65 years, specially for the ladies Who comes with their respective husbands for Darshanam and gets disappointed at GOD GOVINDAS HOLY DOOR…!

    We want to visit Tirumala on 9th&10th,August 2019.I am a senoir citizen anove 65 years of age. Just I want to check whether senoior citizen darshan is availabe on those days. Meaning there is no canellation of senior citizen darshan because of Varalakshmi vratham on Aug9th 2019?

      Yes is available on those days , you can avail darshan by taking the tokens 2 hours before the slot at Museum .

      Thank you. Yes you can avail senior citizen darshan at 10 am and 3 pm, You can get the tokens 2 hours before the slot at museum .
