Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva
Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva is performed in the Unjal Mandapam. Unjal Mandapam is located in the eastern corner of the main Temple. The idols of the Lord and His consorts are taken out in a procession. Later Idols are kept on a swing in the Mandapam. Before starting of the Seva, Mandapam is lit with a thousand lamps.
The Lord and His consorts are rocked gently amidst the Vedic chanting by the priests and the singing of Annamayya songs.
After completion of the Seva, Pilgrims are allowed for Main Deity Darshan ( inside Temple) through Supadam Entrance.
Initially, Seva ticket holders will be released from Supatham Entrance, later the Queue line will be merged with other Paid Services.
Tickets can be obtained either online www.ttsevaonline.com or through the current booking process at CRO Office Tirumala.
Another means of getting Seva tickets is Recommendation letters from M.L.A, M.P, M.L.C or Ministers.
Male: Kurta Pyjama / Dhoti or White Pancha with a shirt

Here is the Process for Recommendation letter
Recommendation letter for Sahasra Deeplankarana Seva should be addressed either to E.O or J.E.O Tirumala.
Pilgrim should submit a Recommendation letter on or before 1 P.M at J.E.O Camp office.
If your recommendation letter is approved then a message will be delivered to the mobile number which was registered at the time of letter submission.
Note: After receiving the message, the pilgrim should collect Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva ticket from MBC 24 by displaying message and Photo ID Proof. Pilgrim should collect ticket before 5 p.m by paying the cost of the ticket at the Counter. Please note that the Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva tickets will be issued for the next day.
Dress code is mandatory for this Arjitha Seva. Pilgrims are thoroughly checked at the entry point.

Sahasra deepalankara will be performed in the evening. Followed by darshan thru Supadam. It will take 1 hours 30 mins max.
Vasanthotsavam will be held at Vasantha Mandapam followed by darshan thru Supadam, darshan will be 1 hour 15 mins. Depends again on the date.
If it is weekday, then darshan will be 1 hour max.
Extraa Laddu tokens will be given to the devotees in the queue line

For 5 adults, 5 tickets are required. One is allowed to book 2 tickets using one login ID. For 5 tickets, you would need 3 login IDs.
For children, if they are below 12 years then ticket is not required for them. It is free entry for them

Yes, Sahasra Deepalanakara Seva includes Seva + Darshan. Seva will be 1 hour followed by Darshan 35 – 40 mins. Activity starts in the evening hours i.e. at 5:30 pm and ends by 6:30 pm followed by darshan. Online tickets are enough. No other ticket required.

This site is very informative and I had few queries. I have booked for the sahasra deepalankarana seva for the 5th of Aug 2016.
1. My flight is landing at 1:45 pm on the 5th of August. Will I have time to reach tirumala, change and reach the S. D. Mandapam at reporting time of 4:30 pm. How much time it takes to reach tirumala from the airport.
2. Is private taxi available out side airport to take us to tirumala and are they allowed to ply on road to tirumala or we will have to take public transport.
3. In the dress code it is mentioned that we have to wear doti with uttariyan. Can we wear white kurta/ pajama or do we have to wear dhoti only. Instead of uttariyan can we wear shirt.
4. We have children below 12 year (male) accompanying us. Do they also have to wear dhoti ? can they wear kurta pajama too instead?
5. Is there a place in the tirumala where we can purchase dhoti and uttariyan
6. How to get extra laddus ?
7. As we are staying over night, I want to apply for lucky dip for subhprabtham darsahan for the next day so will we be able to get time to register for the next day darshana and do everyone of us have to go or one can register on behalf of all us. (4 adults and 2 children)
