Yaganti Temple Abhishekam / Rudrabhishekam Procedure

Devotees are allowed to pour water on the main deity using copper Vessel and clean the idol with their own hands while the priest reciting the mantras. Later devotees are allowed to pour milk followed by water. Vessels (Bindhe) filled with water will be placed on the four corners of the Mantap surrounding the deity.

Abhishekam will be performed with banana as well followed by water Abhishekam. The deity will be decorated with the garland at the end. The whole process will be done by the devotees under the guidance of the priest. Children are allowed to sit with their parents during this Pooja.

During the whole Abhisheka process, devotees are not allowed to wear a shirt and banian (Men’s innerwear). Traditional wear is preferred. There is no dress code restriction as such. One can perform this pooja by wearing jeans as well without shirt and banian (Men’s innerwear).

Women devotees can wear Saree with blouse/ Punjabi Dress with Dupatta / Chudidhar with Dupatta/ Half saree. There is no dress restriction for women devotees.

The whole pooja process will go for 30 mins. If possible carry Bilwa leaves which you can use while performing abhisheka. This pooja will be performed to the group so little inconvenience might be there.  Abhisheka will be performed during Temple Opening hours.
