Marriages are performed during the temple’s opening hours only.

Vallakottai Temple Marriage Procedure

The bride must be 18 years and above.
The groom must be 21 years and above.
Bride and Groom’s Aadhar cards and SSLC Mark sheet photocopies required
Bride’s parents and groom’s parents Photocopies required
The bride’s and groom’s parents/guardians must be available for the marriage.
This temple only permits Hindu arranged marriages.
The temple allows Sannidhi Thirukalyanam.
The temple authority will issue a marriage receipt that is valid throughout the country.
At present, due to COVID, Sannidhi Thirumangalyam is not available.
The marriage hall is located near the temple.
The marriage party has to bring all the required Pooja materials for the marriage on their own.
The devotee can collect the marriage enrollment form at the counter.
A minimum of one month’s booking is required, without which enrollment may not be possible.

Unmarried certificate from the Bride and Groom or a duly filled application sealed and signed by the Thasildhar/MRO
The unmarried certificate must be in Tamil or English
