Vakulamatha Temple is dedicated to the Mother of Lord Venkateswara. Only the Vakulamathat deity is located inside the temple. No other deities were installed in this temple.
The majority of the Pilgrims are visiting this temple in the evening hours and the scenic view is too good from the hilltop. Photos and Video shooting are not allowed inside the temple.
Vakulamatha Temple Darshan Details
- Darshan Dress Code: Any decent outfit is allowed for Darshan.
- Darshan Ticket is not required as it is Free Darshan for all devotees.
- As the temple is located on the hilltop and the route to the temple is a little steep. Senior Citizens, Patients and Differently abled pilgrims might need assistance to take steps.
- Darshan Duration: 10 to 15 mins. Archana, Harathi and Theertham will not be offered during Sarva Darshan.
- Limited Free Prasadam in the morning and evening hours.
Restriction for two-wheelers and Four Wheelers
The Four-wheeler route is available to the hilltop but only Devasthanam vehicles, staff and shop persons are allowed in this route. Two-wheelers and Four Wheelers are not allowed to hilltop unless it is required. Usually, it takes 10 to 15 mins to reach the temple on the hilltop. It is advisable to visit in the Early hour or in the evening hours during Summer.
Facilities at Vakulamatha Temple
- A drinking water facility is available at the steps entrance and at the temple as well.
- Restroom (Toilet) is available at the bottom of the hill.
- Free parking facility is available at the steps entrance for Two-wheelers and Four Wheelers.
- Free Shoe keeping centre is available at the steps entrance.
- Eatables are available at the steps entrance and on the hilltop as well.

How to reach Vakulamatha Temple?
- There is no direct bus to the temple from Tirupati.
- Temple can be reached by own vehicle or by hiring a taxi or auto.
- It usually takes 30 to 35 mins from Tirupati to Peruru.
