Sri Malayappa Swamy, the Utsava deity of Lord Venkateswara is mounted on seven different Vahanam on this festival day and glides along the Mada streets from morning to evening and hence this fete 0is also considered as Mini Brahmotsavams. Sri Malayappa Swamy as Surya Narayana Murthy takes the first ride on Suryaprabha Vahanam and this Vahana is considered to be the most important one of all the seven Vahana Sevas of the day as the festival is especially observed as “Surya Jayanthi”.

The privilege darshans like Senior Citizens, Physically Challenged, NRIs, Donors through Supatham entry were also cancelled on this day keeping in view the huge influx of pilgrims for the occasion.

Following this festival, TTD has cancelled all Arjitha Sevas for the day including Asta Dala Pada Padmaradhana, Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas while Suprabhatam, Thomala and Archana will be observed in Ekantam.
