Tirumala 22 Sep 2015: After taking a dazzling ride on Suryaprabha Vahanam in the morning on the bright sunny day on Monday, the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy took a pleasant ride in the evening on the Chandra Prabha Vahanam at Thiru Mada streets.

In Vedic astrology, Chandra represents brain and mind, emotions and sensitivity, softness and imagination. The moon is considered a planet and infact one of the best planets to be born under as it promises wealth and happiness.

In the ‘Purusha Sukta’ of the Rigveda it is mentioned that Chandra was born from the mind of the Virat Purusha-God symbolized as the entire universe, who is none other than Sri Maha Vishnu Himself. So it becomes relevant that Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy to take a celestial ride on Chandra Prabha during His annual brahmotsavams giving a soothing, chill-thrill to His devotees.
