The main festival which is 18 day Yama Samharam will be celebrated in the month of Chittirai. 6th day of the festival marks, Markandeya who got the complete Ayush from Lord Siva beating Yamapasha.
Another major festival will be celebrated in the month of Panguni. During this month, Sage Markandeya brought Ganga to this place.

On Every monday during Karthigai month, 1008 Sangu Abhishegam will be performed to the deity.
Annadanam will be performed daily during Lunch Hours for 100 devotees.
