Srirangapatna Sriranga Jayanthi

Sriranga Jayanthi will be celebrated on Vaishaka Shudda Sapthami day or Chaitra Suddha Sapthami day (Sometimes). On this special day, Snapan Thirumanjanam (special ritual baths) will be offered to Shriranganatha Swamy and Shri Ranganayaki followed by Arishina Seva. Annasantharpane will be distributed to the devotees.
Around 7:20 pm, Shri Ranga Mudi (A crown Studded with precious pearls and stones) will be adorned to Shri Ranganatha Swamy. The processional deities will be takeout in the main streets of the town along with musical instruments and special Nadaswara.

Another Important festivals are

Magha Shuddha Poornima:

Taking Cauvery river bath on the full moon (Purnima) day of Magha month is considered as auspicious. On this special day, thousands of devotees take the holy dip (Punya Snana) in Cauvery river and will have darshan of Shri Ranganatha Swamy.

Bangarada (Golden) Garudotsava:

This festival will be celebrated on Purnima (full moon day) day in Vaishaka masa. The processional deity will be taken out in a procession on Gold plated Garuda measuring about eight feet height.

Uyyalotsava:

This festival will be celebrated for five days starting from Prathama Ekadashi of Ashada Masa (month). On the sixth and seventh day, Uyyalotsava will be celebrated to Goddess Shri Ranganayaki and Shri Krishna Swamy.
