Srikalahasti Naga Prathishta Pooja Procedure, Benefits and Timings

This Naga Prathishta Pooja can be performed by anyone and there is no age limit for this Prathishta Pooja.

Dress code: Please wear
Male: White Pancha, Dhoti/ Kurta, Pyjama.
Female: Saree with blouse/ Punjabi Dress with Dupatta / Chudidhar with Dupatta/ Half Saree

Types of Kala Sarpa Dosha

  1. Rahu and Ketu are in 1st and 7th positions then it is called by Anantha Kalasarpa Yoga.
  2. Rahu and Ketu are in 2nd and 8th positions then it is called by Kulika Kalasarpa Yoga.
  3. Rahu and Ketu are in 4th and 10th positions then it is called by Shankha Kalasarpa Yoga
  4. Rahu and Ketu are in 5th and 11th positions then it is called by Padma Kalasarpa Yoga
  5. Rahu and Ketu are in the 7th and 1st position then it is called by Takshaka Kalasarpa Yoga
  6. Ketu and Rahu are in the 2nd and 8th position then it is called by Karkotaka Kalasarpa Yoga
  7. Ketu and Rahu are in the 3rd and 9th position then it is called by Shankha Chooda Kalasarpa Yoga
  8. Ketu and Rahu are in the 4th and 10th position then it is called by Ghathaka Kalasarpa Yoga
  9. Ketu and Rahu are in the 5th and 11th position then it is called by Vishadhara Kalasarpa Yoga
  10. Ketu and Rahu are in the 6th and 12th position then it is called by Sesha Naga Kalasarpa Yoga

Srikalahasti Naga Prathishta Pooja Procedure

Whoever suffering from Sarpa Dosha can perform Naga Prathishta at an auspicious time. Pooja usually takes 5 to 6 for the Prathistha. Advance booking required as serpent Idol can only be performed on prior intimation. This Pooja will not be performed in the Srikalahsti main temple. The auspicious date will be calculated by the priest.
