Tirupati, 20 March 2015: Processional deity of Lord Rama is taken out in a grand procession atop in different vahanams around four maada streets as part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam in Sri KodandaRama Swamy Temple, Tirupati.  Thousands of devotees had congregated all along the maada streets of the temple town

Dwajarohanam

The annual nine-day brahmotsavam in the ancient temple of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy in Tirupati commenced on a grand note on Wednesday with the Dhwajarohana Mahotsavam held between 9am to 9.30am in Mesha Lagnam.

As usual, amidst the vedic hymns, the Garuda Flag has been hoisted on the temple flag mast signalling invitation to all the deities present in 14 lokas to take part in the Navahnika Brahmosavams. This was followed by Asthanam and Snapana Tirumanjanam.

 

Pedda Sesha Vahanam

Processional deity of Lord Rama, seetha and Lakshmana were taken out in procession atop Peddasesha Vahanam on the first of ongoing Annual Brahmotsavam

Chinna Sesha Vahanam

Processional deity of Lord Rama is taken out in a grand procession on Chinna Sesha Vahanam around four mada streets.

Simha Vahanam

Processional deity of Lord Rama is taken out in a grand procession atop Simha Vahanam around four mada streets on the third day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple, Tirupati on Friday morning.

Thousands of devotees had congregated all along the mada streets of the temple town. Later in the afternoon ‘Snapana Thirumanjanam’ (celestial bath) was conducted to the deities inside the temple. The day came to an end with the procession of the Lord atop the Muthyappu Pandiri vahanam in the night.

Hamsa Vahanam

Processional deity of Lord Rama is taken out in a procession on Hamsa Vahanam around four mada street, as part of 2nd day of Nine Day Annual Brahmotsavam in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple, Tirupati on Thursday evening.

Earlier in the evening unjal seva was performed to the processional deity in front of the temple.
