As per the Legend, Pandava brothers stayed here for sometime after their exile from the Kingdom. The biggest cave is said to be of Bhima. Each of these caves was named after the Pandava brothers.
As per ASI, that the cave paintings date back to Gupta period during 9 – 10th Century AD. Buddhist monks made these monks as their living place during this time. Even stupa laid during the same period.
These caves are under the maintenance of Archaeological Survey of India. The beautiful garden was created at the cave’s entrance.
Best Time to visit: Oct-Jun months. These caves remain open on all days.
Entry fees: No Charges.
Timings: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

- The nearest airport is at Bhopal which is 120 Km away.
- The nearest railway station is at Pipariya which is 47 Km away.
- The direct bus is not available to this hills. Taxi can be hired from Bhopal or Pipairya stations.
