On the penultimate day of Navaratri Brahmotsavams, the grandeur of Lord Venkateswara procession on four mada street scales another peak with The procession of the golden chariot.
The entire premises of Tirumala echoed with the “Govinda Namas”. The devotees competed to pull the mammoth chariot with religious ecstasy.
Golden Chariot is organized in the evening during the twilight hours. Even though the event finds no place in the Temple’s history, of late it has turned out to be a fascinating procession where only women are allowed to pull the dazzling chariot with the processional deities on it.
