Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Navagraha Japam is performed outside the main temple in Srikalahasti. A complete Navagraha Japam might take 4 to 5 days. It depends on the number of Brahmins performing the Japam. The group of Brahmins should perform Navagraha Japam. Typically, 7 to 10 Brahmins will perform this puja ritual. A single Brahmin can recite 3500 to 4000 mantras in a day. The 900 mantras can be recited for the planets Sukra Graha, Chandra Graha, Budha Graha, Shani Graha, and Rahu Graha in an hour. Whereas, 650–700 mantras can be recited for the planets Guru, Angaraka, Surya, and Ketu in an hour. A complete Navagraha Japa Sankhya of 125,000 might take 10 days with 10 Brahmins. Whereas, with 15 Brahmins, the duration can be reduced to 5 days. A person can chant for 5 to 6 hours a day.
Usually, a Brahmin can count 3000 mantras for 3 hours with a 15- to 20-minute break in between. Navagraha Japam is performed to overcome financial difficulties. It can also help resolve marital issues, recover from long-standing illnesses, and address various other concerns. Navagraha Japam, followed by homam, should be performed for effective results. Ahuthi should be performed with 10% of the actual count. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. One should take a head bath before the puja. It is advisable to carry an extra set of clothes, as Avabrutha Snanam will be performed at the end. It is advisable to perform this puja on your birth star day. Puja Dress Code
- For gentlemen, the dress code includes a white dhoti and either a shirt or a kurta paired with pajamas.

Puja Instructions To Devotees
- One should refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food for three days before the puja.
- A woman can perform this puja after the fifth day of her menstrual cycle.
- A pregnant woman cannot perform this puja.
- A husband cannot perform this puja if his wife is pregnant.
- If there is any death in the family, then this puja can be performed after six months.
- One family member can perform this puja on behalf of the entire family.
- A Brahman can perform this puja on your behalf.
