Mudumalai Tiger Reserve Safari Timings

Swaraj Mazda Safari Visiting Hours: 7:00 am – 9:00 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Park remains open on all days. Only forest department vehicles are allowed inside the park. Private Vehicles are not allowed inside the park. Jeep safari is not available in this Sanctuary. Safari Vehicles moves only on the main road. All private vehicles have to be parked at the entrance only.

Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary stretches over an area of 321 Sq.km within which the National Park spreads over an area of 103 sq. Km. This sanctuary is inhabited by Elephants, Indian Bison, Langur Monkeys, tigers and leopards, Sloth Bear, Python, barking deer, Four- Horned Antelope, Otter, Crocodiles, Giant flying squirrel, Sambar, Hyena, Wild Dog, Wild Boar, Mouse Deer, Spotted Deer, Jackal, Porcupine and Mongoose.

This sanctuary is inhabited with birds Peacock, grey jungle fowl, the red spurfowl, Kingfisher, Woodpeckers, Black Eagle, Rose Ringed Parakeet, the grey partridge quails, goggle-eyed plougher, Malabar whistling thrust, large racket-tailed dronge, the shama, the magpie-robin, spotted babbler, small green barbet, green pigeons, little brown dove, Malabar grey hornbill, bulbuls, mynahs and other migratory birds.
