This park stretches over an area of 216.51 Sq.Km. This Sanctuary is inhabited by One-horned Rhinos, Leopard, Bison, Elephants, Sambar, Barking deer, Hog deer, Bison, Wildboar etc. The River Torsha flows the sanctuary and created good climatic conditions birds and reptiles. Commonly seen birds are Peacock, Crested Eagle, band-tailed fish eagle, shikra, Junglefowl, Bengal bustard, Malabar pied hornbill etc.

Tourists flow will be high during Dec, Jan, Feb, Apr and May months. From Feb onwards, it is easy to find One-horned Rhinos as grass level comes down. Elephant Safari is preferred over Jeep Safari as Elephants can go inside the forest.
