Devotees usually gather 90 mins in advance to watch the Aarti from a close distance.

Location: Dashashwamedh Ghat. 500 mt from Kashi Vishwanath temple. Easily reached by walk. Ganga Aarti Varanasi will be performed similarly to Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Ganga Aarti Varanasi Procedure

This Aarti will be performed by the Young priests who are pursuing their Vedas and Upanishads. This group will be lead by Head Priest from Gangotri Seva Samiti. Devotees gather around the dais to watch this holy event. Aarti will be offered to the River Ganga amid chanting Mantras. Young priests will make the sounds using Conch shells. 7 priests will be offering Aarti to the Holy River Ganga by standing on the specially decorated dais. The whole process will be performed in rhythm with a unique dress code. Ganga Aarti will be performed with a 7 layered camphor lighting.

There is no ticket for watching this holy event. It is free and is open for all devotees. Hundreds of devotees gather for this Aarti and disperse after the event. Few devotees Sit and watch from the boats.
