Dharmapuri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple History
The Temple is located on the Bank of River Godavari. This temple also called as ‘Dakshina Kashi’ and is one of the Nava Narasimha Temples located in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
It is believed the Rama installed Saikatha linga (Shiv Linga made out of Sand) and offered prayers in Dharmapuri while on his way to Dandakaranya. Idols of Narasimha Swamy and Sri Ramalingeshwara Temples are located in the temple complex.
The importance of Keshtra is revealed in the life histories of King
Dharmavarma, princess Savitri and Dharmangada. The importance of this Kshetra was stated in Skandha and Brahmanda Puranas.
Deities located in the temple complex are Lord
Narasimha with Goddess Lakshmi, Sri RamaLingeshwara Swamy, Venkateswara Swamy, Gouthameshwara, Anjaneya, Sri Rama, Dattatreya and Sathyavathi besides Brahma Pushkarini.

- Narasimha Navaratri Utsavam is being performed by Vyshakha Shudha Shashti to Vyshakha Shudha Chaturdashi.
