Tirupati is the spiritual capital city of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is located on the hilltop. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams of Lord Maha Vishnu. This god is said to have shown up to protect humanity from the evils of the Kali Yuga. Believers worship him under several names, such as Govinda, Balaji, and Venkateswara. After appearing to King Thondaiman in a dream and requesting that he build the temple, Lord Vishnu started the construction of the temple. Throughout the year 300 AD, several emperors and rulers added to the Tirumala Temple.
During the Kali Yuga, Lord Vishnu made his appearance in the Tirupati Balaji temple. It is thought that He has blessed his followers and guided them in the direction of salvation.
It takes three hours and thirteen minutes to drive from Chennai. In the meantime, on our drive from Chennai, we travel by well-known rivers, forests, and tiny towns like Puttur, Periyapalayam, Palavakkam, and Uthukottai.
Chennai to Tirupati Balaji Darshan Package
- 5.00 a.m: Home Pick up for the residents within city limits.
- 5.00 am–8.00 am: Travel to Tirupati
- 08.00 a.m: Visit Alamelumangapuram (Padmavathy Thayar) Temple
- 9.00 am – 10 a.m.: Traveling to Tirumala in the same vehicle
- 10.00 am–10.30 am: Breakfast in Tirumala
- 10.30 am – 11.15 am – Hair offering or Tonsuring
- 11.30 a.m.: Special Entry Darshan reporting at ATC Car parking
- 02:00 pm – 3.00 pm: Lunch in Tirumala.
- 3.30 pm: Heading back to Chennai
- Drop-off at your address follows arrival in Chennai at 7:35 p.m.
Note:
- The timing of the darshan may change depending on the rush at Tirumala Temple.
- The package cost includes one breakfast, one lunch, and a special entry darshan at Balaji Temple.
- The driver has an inclusive bata.
- Your driver will assist you with all of your needs, including darshan.
- For safety reasons, air conditioning will be turned off while ascending and descending the Tirumala Hills.
Tirupati Balaji Darshan Dress Code
Gents: dhoti (white) and shirt, or kurta and pyjama.
Ladies: Saree or Salwar Kameez (with Pallu Compulsory).
All pilgrims are requested not to wear clothes such as T-shirts, jeans, etc., as the same is strictly prohibited irrespective of any age group.
