Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Jyeshta Nakshatra Shanti in Gokarna is performed daily. The puja lasts for about 2-3 hours. Two to three priests perform this ritual. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. This puja should be performed before the wedding. An astrologer can let you know whether this puja is necessary. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. One should take a head bath before and after the puja. Jyeshtha Nakshatra dosha may cause the couple to separate. This puja can be performed even after the marriage to avoid mishaps. This puja is performed in a yagashala outside the Gokarna Mahabaleshwar Temple.

Puja Dress Code

Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Jyeshta Nakshatra Shanti in Gokarna
If born in Jyestha Nakshatra (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th pada), Nakshatra Shanti puja must be performed. Jyeshta Nakshatra belongs to the Ganda Moola Nakshatra group. The Scorpio sign consists of 4 padas of Vishaka Nakshatra, 4 padas of Anuradha Nakshatra, and 4 padas of Jyestha Nakshatra. The moon shows intense behavioral characteristics in relation to the Scorpio sign. Therefore, emotions and individual traits will adversely affect a person’s life. If a child is born in the first pada, the mother is likely to suffer; the father may have difficulties in the second pada, siblings may have difficulties in the third pada, and the individual himself may be affected in the fourth pada. If the child is born in the first 48 minutes of Jyeshta Nakshatra, there will be problems.
