Narayana Bali Puja in Kashi is performed daily. The puja duration is 3 to 4 hours. This puja is performed to pacify the departed soul. An unsatisfied soul will not leave this Earth. This puja is performed to guide the unsatisfied soul either to attain Moksha or join the rebirth cycle. This puja is advisable for those who die at a very young age. This puja is performed if there is any unnatural death in the family. Kashi is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga Kshetras, and performing this puja at this place will yield the best results. An elder from the family should perform this puja.
Puja Dress Code
- For gentlemen, the dress code includes a white dhoti and either a shirt or a kurta paired with pajamas.
- Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Puja Instructions to Devotees
- One should refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food for three days before the puja.
- A woman can perform this puja after the fifth day of her menstrual cycle.
- A husband cannot perform this puja if his wife is pregnant and is in the 6th month or above.
- If there is any death in the family, then this puja can be performed after six months.
Narayana Bali Puja Procedure in Kashi
Moksha Narayana Bali Puja is performed here in a Yagashala near the Ghat. This puja can be performed even when the person’s whereabouts are unknown. This puja is performed for the family name. The Gothra family, or names, are required to perform this puja. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. Even females can perform this puja. At the end, a Brahman will perform the last rituals to end the puja.
